The Mediplan MediCall nurse call system is an advanced communication system. The nurse call structure is designed to meet and exceed the requirements of HTM2015 and other applicable standards.
The MediCall system is quick and simple to install, expandable and simple to maintain. The modular design allows for a wide choice in system configuration. This approach enables upgrades or modifications to be straightforward when required. The systems provide a high level of reliability and minimal need for maintenance.
MediCall Features:
Follow the lights - All Mediplan nurse call systems operate a series of overdoor indicator lamps, which guide staff directly to the location of the call
Call levels - MediCall provides 3 levels of call as standard, such as ‘Patient', ‘WC' and ‘Emergency' with further user definable call levels such as ‘Cardiac', ‘Controlled Drugs', ‘Staff Attack' etc.
Speech - MediCall has the option of two-way communications from patient's bedside to nursing staff at strategic locations improving speed of response and offering instant reassurance to patients.
Patient entertainment - Mediplan provide several options of integrated entertainment, from MediCode providing 16 channels of audio entertainment to bedside LCD TV units with full control via the nurse call handunit.
Paging - MediCall systems can interface with paging systems providing call information via alphanumeric pagers, which improves staff response times, enabling flexible and team based nursing practices. Groups of calls can be sent to specific groups of pagers with emergency calls being sent globally to all paging units
Call logging - MediCall systems can log call information with the ability to analyse event history on standard PC based office applications.
Nurse presence - can be either activated automatically with Mediplan's Local Positioning System or manually by wall switches.
Bedlight control - MediCall handunits can control bedhead lighting, when used in combination with Mediplan's Medilght bedhead trunking, patients can have control over brightness of their own bedhead lighting units.
