The POLARstar has all the features of the FLUOstar OPTIMA, plus fluorescence polarization and another very distinctive feature - the POLARstar has two emission photomultiplier tubes (PMTs), which gives the POLARstar a unique advantage because it can read two emission wavelengths simultaneously up to 50 measurement points per second on both channels.
Because the POLARstar does not have to switch filters or polarizers to read the second channel its Simultaneous Dual Emission (SDE) makes FP, FRET, and BRET assays faster and more precise.
Single channel FP readers must essentially read the microplate twice - once for parallel emission and once again for perpendicular emission. But the POLARstar collects both emission vectors simultaneously for a fantastic speed advantage. The same is true for FRET or BRET experiments that have two or more emission wavelengths. |

 | BMG LABTECH now offers the Atmospheric Control Unit (ACU) - a complete solution for fully regulated independent control of both oxygen (O2) and carbon dioxide (CO2) levels within your multimode microplate reader.
Available for the entire range of Omega microplate readers, the microprocessor controlled ACU offers dual independent control of both gases within the microplate reading chamber. The microprocessor controlled unit can regulate CO2 (0 - 20%) and O2 (1 - 19%) independently, making it unnecessary to change gas cylinders or piped gas supplies to reproduce certain physiological conditions needed for cell-based assays. |

When used in combination with the Omega's other features such as extended temperature control up to 65°C and shaking (orbital, double orbital and linear), users can reproduce most physiological conditions making cell-based assays more biologically relevant. BMG LABTECH´s Flexible Microplate Handling System for Rapid Mid-Throughput
The Stacker is designed for integration with BMG LABTECH´s microplate readers minimizing microplate handling. It provides loading, unloading, restacking and continous feeding of up to 50 microplates. It is also possible to read single plates without using the magazines.
Software package
The Stacker Control software operates the Stacker / reader combination: the Stacker is controlled via a serial interface and the reader is controlled via a DDE interface to the reader control program. The definition of the measurement protocol as well as the configuration of the reader is done by using the reader control software. In the Stacker control software you define the batch operation, e.g. the test name and number of plates.
User defined run scripts
Script mode allows users to write their own run scripts, which give the user unlimited flexibility. This function can be used to choose different test definitions for different plates in one batch run or to perform more than one measurement on one plate.
Barcode Reader

The THERMOstar is a high performance microplate incubator and orbital shaker which accommodates up to four microplates. The THERMOstar can be used for any enzyme or cell-based assays requiring uniform and strictly controlled incubation up to 56°C and effective mixing.
Temperature, shaking speed, and incubation time are fully programmable via the keypad, while the status parameters are displayed on the LCD in real time via an easy to use interface.
Microprocessor controlled heating plates above and below the microplates provide uniform temperature with less than 1.0°C variation between any two wells. This ensures outstanding and repeatable assay performance.
