Swine Flu is an acute and highly contagious respiratory disease of swine caused by the orthomyxovirus & can be transferred to humans.
The virus typically spreads from coughs and sneezes or by touching contaminated surfaces and then touching the nose or mouth. Symptoms, which can last up to a week, are similar to those of seasonal flu, and may include fever, sneezes, sore throat, coughs, headache, and muscle or joint pains.

Here are some things that you can do to make sure you dont get the virus.

 | Wash your hands. - If washing in public facilities, dont touch any surface with your bare hands. This means turning taps off with a paper towel after washing and opening the washroom door with a paper towel as well. Carrying a little bottle of alcohol based hand sanitiser (Desderman International) is a good idea to use after washing, and when hand washing facilities are not available.

| Dispose of tissues and masks properly. If you have flu-like symptoms, use tissues and dispose of them in a plastic bag, tied off and placed in a bin or incinerator.
