Business Support Manager

In this newly created role, you will be responsible for the leadership of the Business Support functions within Brennan & Company including:

  • Customer service
  • Quality
  • Purchasing
  • Tenders and contracts
  • Administration.

You will be an integral part of the management team and will work closely with the Board of Directors on the strategic direction of the group. Mapping processes, taking a strategic overview, measuring and improving and developing your teams will be what you enjoy. Responsibilities

  • Map processes across your teams, taking a strategic view, and proposing, costing and implementing improvements
  • Oversee the implementation and subsequent maintenance of a robust management support system including documented protocols and process maps
  • Engage your team to meet/exceed their personal goals and objectives by developing appropriate orientation/induction, performance review and development plans
  • Define clear objectives, milestones and measurements for all teams in your remit
  • Lead a project to modernize workflows within your departments and continually monitor these workflows to ensure they continue to meet the demands of the business
  • Take an active role in the group management team, providing insights and suggested improvements
  • Work closely with the Board on the development and implementation of strategic decisions, providing feedback on operational issues, plans and achievements
  • Lead a team of Customer Services Representatives to ensure excellence of service
  • Generate and produce accurate and meaningful customer information and data
  • Work with the quality team to ensure maintenance of our ISO9001:2015 accreditation and lead a project to obtain and maintain accreditation with ISO14001
  • Perform a strategic review of our quality procedures and provide recommendations on improvements which would benefit the organization and our customers
  • Share best practice with other companies within the group
  • Lead a project to ensure compliance with new MDR/IVDR regulations
  • Take a leadership role in future branding/marketing strategy
  • Work with the Board on a new branding project for the group to include strategic planning, project planning, implementation, communication and maintenance
  • Take ownership of the administrative function within Brennan & Company

Key Capabilities Required

  • Relevant third level qualification with minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior role
  • Exceptional commercial ability, capable of negotiating/executing on significant commercial deals
  • Experience with the public sector procurement process
  • Excellent customer relationship skills with previous experience in customer service management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and motivate a team
  • Good understanding of Quality Management and Regulatory requirements (MDR/IVDR)
  • Good knowledge of technical service and engineering requirements
  • Solutions oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities and skill in managing workloads.
  • Demonstrate significant judgement and decision-making capability
  • High sense of urgency and commitment to execute.
  • Ability to travel to clients, sometimes on short notice
  • PC Expertise with proficiency in Microsoft applications; advanced excel skills a requirement
