Description

Hospital Direct’s simple yet unique GUS Slide makes lithotomy positioning easier for both carers and patients.

The Washable GUS (Gynecology and Urology) Slide makes it easy for service providers to achieve patient lithotomy positioning, especially for head-down procedures. The slide’s unique and integral locking panels allow service providers to fix a patient’s position so they don’t slip during surgery. Practitioners can then unlock and reposition patients during surgery if required.

To use the GUS Slide, simply place the GUS under the patient, slide them into position, lock the product and tilt. You can reverse the process after surgery to slide the patient back up the operating table. The GUS Slide is also useful while patients are recovering from surgery.

Practitioners can use the GUS Slide to:

  • Slide patients into precise positions – fine adjustments are achievable
  • Lock patient position
  • Safely tip a patient’s head down to a maximum of 25 degrees
  • Adjust patient position mid-surgery
  • Slide patients back up the operating table post-surgery (if required)

The advanced GUS Slide design combines a 100% nylon PU-coated inner lining with a 100% polyester outer fabric and polymeric compound anti-slip panels. These panels prevent patients from slipping while positioned on the slide.

Alternatively, Hospital Direct also supplies Disposable GUS Slides.
